Night Light

Simple light. Private by design.

Information we collect

Night Light does not require an account and does not include advertising, tracking, or in-app analytics. The app does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data with Substruct or third parties.

Settings stored on your device

Your selected color, screen brightness, rear-light intensity, and onboarding status are stored locally on your device. Night Light and its Lock Screen widget share the saved color and brightness through Apple’s on-device App Group storage. These settings are not sent to Substruct.

The widget can open your saved light, but it never activates the rear light. Deleting Night Light removes the app and its locally stored settings.

Rear light and camera hardware

If your iPhone has an available rear light, Night Light accesses the torch only after you explicitly turn it on. The app does not capture, record, store, or transmit photos, video, or audio, and it does not request permission to capture them. The rear light turns off when the app leaves the foreground.

Apple services

Apple may process App Store, download, and device diagnostic information under Apple’s own privacy terms. Substruct may receive aggregated or de-identified App Store reports, but Night Light itself does not send usage or personal data to Substruct.
